When my son Tim was your age we noticed that his bite was way off, Took him for an exam and was told that this could be corrected with<br />braces. We encouraged him to have them. He was absolutely against and didn't even want to talk about it so we did not force him to do it. We tried several times. Now he is 33 and he wishes so much that we would have forced him to have braces. He can still have it done but now he has spent years not even being able to bite into a sandwich the way everyone else does. I encourage you to do your very best with the braces and from my experience and my sons, I think you will be very glad someday that your Mom and Dad "forced" you to have braces.
