Alright moms out there...can you relate to any of the things below? I would love to hear some of the ways you knew when you were truly a mom - I know the "list" is different for all moms. Being a mom is wonderful and difficult all at the same time and I wouldn't trade a moment of it.
You know you're a mom when cooking anything less than 2 lbs of bacon at a time seems just plain ridiculous.
You know you're a mom when the neighbor kids come to the door and ask if they can have a snack out of your pantry. :)
You know you're a mom when you find yourself saying that you are not a maid and you shouldn't have to pick up after everyone! (Not that I have ever needed to says that!!)
You know you're a mom when your gut reaction to a child vomiting is to stick your hand out to catch it and keep as much as possible from falling on the carpet.
You know you're a mom (especially of boys) when talking about poop or farts or other bodily functions is an almost daily occurrence in the home. (And one that brings about LOTS of laughter)
You know you're a mom when you rarely sleep past 6:30am on a Saturday.
You know you're a mom when you can say that you have either been pregnant or nursing for 3 solid years in a row (I am sure there are mom's out there that can top me on that one!!)
You know you're a mom when you find a bottle with curdled milk under the seat of your van and you don't throw it away but wash it out really well and re-use it again.
You know you're a mom when you drive a mini-van and like it!!
You know you're a mom when you get excited to see the school supply aisles going up in the local Wal-mart and you shop early to beat all of the crowds in August...(Ok maybe this is just me and my Type A personality - can anyone relate to this one?!)
You know you're a mom when you can't reach your older kids on the phone during a storm and you are terrified for their safety beyond words....thinking the worst and praying for the best.
You know you're a mom when you have watched more Disney movies and episodes of Sponge Bob than you have episodes of Grey's Anatomy.
You know you're a mom when you know what a Pokemon is even if you don't understand what it does.
You know you're a mom when you spend more time worrying about their future than your own.
You know you're a mom when you have bins and bins and bins of clothes stored away for the day when one of the "youngers" will grow into something from the "olders".
You know you're a mom when there are days that you wonder why you signed up for this role but you know that few things will bring you greater joy, greater stress, greater sorrow and greater love than each and every day that God blesses us with our children and every moment will have been worth it.
May every moment be a blessing moms!!

You know you're a mom when spend your money on kid's clothes before you shop for yourself (rationalizing that they are growing and you still fit the old stuff).
so cute!!!!!
