Where we find her....

This is where we find our little miss most days....

She continues to climb and loves to be on the top of the table. In fact we went to a friend's house for dinner and joked that she would do it there and sure enough at one point she was climbing on top of their table.

This particular night we had gotten out some spinach dip and crackers and she decided that she needed some also....on her terms. Oh and once we realized she was joining in we just got her a dish of her very own because she has NO concept of the taboo of double dipping.

On this night Gabriel had left a bit of his applesauce in a bowl at his spot at the table and Karlena decided that she needed to try some of that too.

I can't get over that smile....she was so proud of herself!

 Digging in and enjoying it!

Look Mom - all gone!

The past 2 weeks have been a blur and I would love to blog about several things....but I just don't have the time. So because I can handle this kind of post in about 5 minutes it will have to do for now! Happy Sunday afternoon everyone!

Future Gymnast?

Remember when I wrote this post about our little climber girl? I was hoping that maybe it was just a phase...but it seems to be the norm around here. In fact we have just given into the fact that it is going to happen and so we try and eliminate potential areas of "damage" if you will by keeping the table cleared off. That way when she goes up there she just sits and talks to herself.

Well she is a little escape artist also! Our front screen door doesn't latch and lock well and she is just tall enough to let herself out the door if we happen to leave the storm door open. And that is just what she did this afternoon (again)...

And here is where I found her. In our backyard on the playground. She has found a way (and her brothers didn't teach her) how to climb up or to the slide so she can go down herself!

In fact she is quite proud of herself!!

I didn't even know she could climb the ladder..
 But up she went!

Reached the top in no time!

And so very pleased with herself.

Next it was time to climb up the slide the wrong way...you know as we all do at one time in our lives...I just don't think I was younger than 2 when I started it!

But up and up and up she went..

I couldn't believe how fast she would climb up.

And then she would slide down and start again.  I am thinking that when she is a little older we may have to invest in gymnastics lessons because she seems to have no fear of heights and is coordinated too!

And even though we are on picture overload here I had to share these pics of her in the swing. She was just in heaven...head back feeling the breeze...what could be better?!
Ahhh the life...no cares or worries here!

Happy Sunday friends!!

Oh Boy, we are in trouble!

I was in the front sitting room talking to Gabriel for just a minute, maybe two...and then went into the kitchen and found this.

What happened to my sweet girl that just sat down nicely to play with toys?? Apparently she has figured out how to pull back a chair and climb up that and onto the table to play with the napkins.

We are in trouble!!

Of course after I took the picture I had to take her down and tell her no that she couldn't climb....she wasn't happy being told no! But first the table and then what??

Any tips for discouraging this kind of climbing??

My "sweets"

If it were practical to dress my girl up every day in dresses like this I would....but since it really isn't, Sunday's will have to do for now!!

I think that she even enjoys it!

I will never get enough of her baby blues!!

She wanted to go outside with her brothers so bad!!

Then she started playing peek-a-boo with me...

She'd crouch down and then pop back up!
She is such a sweet girl!

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!!

Our Little Sweetie

Warning: Picture Overload!
Karlena looked so cute after church this morning that I had to take just a couple of photos to share. This is just a handful of the ones I took!
